【今週の宿題】
スピーキング３クラス、１１週目のホームワークです。ワードリストに記載の単語等も使用して、下線部の単語を入れ替えて練習してみてください。half past (30分)、 a quarter to (45分)、a quarter past (15分)の時間も使用して練習しましょう。

👩🏼🦰: What time did you eat lunch yesterday?
👦: I ate lunch at _________.
👩🏼🦰: What time did your brother play soccer?
👦: He played soccer at_____.
👩🏼🦰: What time did your friends watch the movie?
👦: They watched a movie at ______.
Notes: Please practice using the following:
– half past (30 minutes past the time)
– a quarter to (15 minutes before the time)
– a quarter past (15 minutes past the time)
*Change the underlined words with another activity.
*We use the preposition “at” to refer to specific times.
*When using “did,” the verb that follows should be in its base form, which is present tense. For example, in the sentence “Did you eat?” the verb “eat” is in its base form, despite “did” indicating that the action occurred in the past. Therefore, when constructing sentences with “did,” always use the base form of the verb following it.

👩🏼🦰:弟は何時にサッカーをしましたか？

* “at” は時刻の前につけます。
＊half past (30分)、 a quarter to (45分)、a quarter past (15分)
quarter は四分の一の意味があります。1時間は60分なので、その1/4は15分となります。
例）3:15はquarter past 3:00
pastには”過ぎて“という意味があるので、3時を15分過ぎた時間で3:15です。
3:45はquarter to 4:00
Toは”～へ”と向かう時に使うので４時に15分向かう時間で3:45となります。
少し紛らわしいですが、quarter to、quarter pastの区別がつくように、練習してください。
＊過去のことを表すときには、do/doesのかわりにdidになります。その場合、主語が
He/Sheでもdidになるので注意しましょう。
＊過去を表すdidの後は、動詞は原形になるので気を付けましょう。例）Did you eat？
